Leadership
Charley Carpenter
Head Pastor
In August of 2011, Charley, Katie, and their two girls (Faith and Grace) moved to Bozeman, Montana, in order to help people take the next steps in their relationship with God and start what we know of today as Venture Church. For years, God has been impressing upon their hearts that He really is who He says He is and that He offers the the greatest life imaginable. It all started when their oldest daughter Faith was born 11 weeks early (at 29 weeks). She was born at 2 lbs. 7 oz. and they were told for days that she wouldn’t make it through the night. As they walked through the process of loosening the grip on their lives and allowing God to work, they experienced the grace, the mercy and the presence of God in ways that have forever changed them.
Moving to Bozeman was another “step” that God was asking them to take, and one they can’t imagine missing out on.
After moving, they committed to serving the community for 6 months before they launched their weekly celebration services. From that time, several people have experienced freedom from addictions, seen their marriages restored, and their lives have been transformed as they’ve submitted themselves to Jesus. In the process of this new church being birthed, they also gave birth to a son, Asher, and a daughter, Selah.
As they enjoy this next chapter in their lives, they’re excited to see what God has in store for them. They look forward to meeting you and sharing many years with you here in Bozeman.

Jonathan Musser
Assistant Pastor
Growing up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, Jonathan quickly fell in love with the beautiful nature and scenery around him. When it was his time to go off to college, he knew he never wanted to leave what he loved, so Montana would sure do the trick!
Jonathan graduated from Montana State University with a degree in Fish and Wildlife Ecology. He was fortunate enough to marry the girl of his dreams the summer of his junior year, and now gets to spend his time pursuing the Lord in ministry together with his wife, Bailey. Jonathan is passionate about helping students learn and grow in who God has called them to be.
In his free time, he'll spend any chance he gets to be out on the river fly fishing: the only thing he loves more than fly fishing is Jesus (and his wife of course). When he's not fishing, Jonathan loves to play the drums, play sports, and enjoy being outside with the ones he loves.

Bailey Musser
Admin Assistant
After growing up in Minnesota, Bailey moved to Montana to attend MSU in 2020 and graduated with an Equine Science Degree in Spring 2023.
She married her amazing husband and best friend, Jonathan Musser in summer 2022. They love to be outdoors as much as they possibly can, either fishing, hiking, camping, or just exploring! Bailey also enjoys to paint during her free time.
Her passion for ministry has grown over the years and she loves to encourage people and help out in anyway she can. She is beyond excited to explore what God has for her during this next season.

Samantha Dozal
Kids Pastor
As a blended family, Samantha and her husband Rudy have 6 children, ages 3-17. In 2014, Samantha began assistant teaching for the local Head Start program and began attending The University of Montana Western. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Certificate of Early Childhood Education, an Associate's in Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. While Samantha has been teaching for many years, her real passion began when she started serving in children's ministry.
Samantha has a background of doing children's ministry for another local program and serving within all areas of Venture Kids. Samantha loves seeing God work in the lives of children. She believes that children have such wonder and openness when it comes to learning about God and applying his word to their lives. Samantha is excited about supporting children in developing a strong foundation of faith, something that they can build upon as they continue to grow.
God brought Samantha to the Venture Family in 2014 and she was later baptized with Venture in 2017. She and her husband were officially married at The Hub in 2023. Samantha has shared that the Venture Community has been such a blessing to her family and in helping them all grow in their relationship with God and with one another. She is so excited about being on the Venture Team and supporting children and families in pursuing their Next Steps in their relationship with God!

Faith Carpenter
Resident
Faith is excited to be a resident with Venture church! Growing up in a Christian home and moving to Bozeman with her family to plant Venture, ministry has always been something she has done with her family. Through this residency God has taught her just how made for ministry she personally is as well. She is passionate about worship, creative arts, photography, and youth ministry.
Faith is so excited to be a part of this team, and to be learning and growing as she lives out God’s call for her life.
When she is not in the office, you can find her playing drums, doing photography, and hanging out with her family. She is honored to be a part of this team and can’t wait to see where God leads!

Marcus Casillas
Resident
Born and raised in California, Marcus was blessed with an opportunity to move to a place where he quickly fell in love with the mountains and rivers. 14 Years later, he is blessed to still call Montana his home.
In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors: Playing sports, going on hikes, and enjoying God’s beautiful nature. Nothing beats doing all those things with his family and the friends.
Marcus has been part of Venture for a few years now. He has been blessed to have the opportunity to help serve in a lot of areas, being the hands and feet of Jesus. When he thought everything was good as it gets, the opportunity of Residency couldn't have arrived at a better time. It was something that he had prayed about and felt it was what he was called to do. Sure enough, The Lord moved His hand and allowed the door to be open for him to join the Venture Team.
Now he is blessed with the opportunity to serve and learn what it truly means to serve God with a purpose and for a purpose.

John Paszkiet
Resident
John and Corina are long time Bozeman residents along with their kids, Ezekiel and Naomi. They love Bozeman due to its diversity, its beauty, and its access to the outdoors and all its activities.
John is the Director of a non-profit that was born from the desire to give people a hand up in their time of need. John has gotten to witness God and the local church transform people’s lives first hand. “It’s amazing when you get to play a part in God radically grabbing a hold of someone and giving them a new start, and the hope that comes with that.”
Organizing Serve The City projects is another one of the ways John gets to partner with Venture. These service events are an opportunity to bless the community as well as hang out with and get to know each other better as they are actively “Being the Church”.
The Paszkiet’s love being part of Venture where they get to cultivate new relationships and be part of a group that loves people and isn’t afraid to get out into the community and serve.
